Trick or Treating

Trick or Treat トリック・オア・トリート

You either get a trick or a treat.
Kids go out in their costumes and walk from door to door in their neighborhood and say Trick or Treat. Most of the time they get a treat such as candy or snacks but watch out, you might even get tricked before getting your treat.

Carving Jack O'- Lanterns

Jack O`- Lantern ジャック・オー・ランタン

You've probably seen pumpkins with faces when October rolls around.
Those are called Jack O'- Lanterns.
The carving of pumpkins started in Ireland to scare away a ghost named Jack, hence the scary faces.
People like to carve pumpkins with family and friends to get ready for Halloween and the fall season.

If you are interested in knowing more, you should look it up!

Do you have any plans for Halloween and fall?

See you soon
